A Trip to the Post Office

Here are a few shots on our Thursday afternoon trip to the Post Office.

Ducks.....

Flowers.....

Trees....

The path to Emerald..

one of the nice spots on the way....

..and FINALLY we get there.

Well, that's the trip there. Now to the Post Office and get some chips on the way...and all the way back home again.

Connor had his 8th birthday today.
Thank you to all the family who made those special calls. He's had a great time, capped off by taking a few friends rollerskating and to Macca's. Getting home after dark for 7 and 8 yr olds is BIG TIME. Not bad for a littel dude who spent 6 hours at the doctors and hospital on Wednesday for head injuries....falling off a stool!! Yes, falling off a stool flat on his FACE! He's fine, but probably won't try that manouvre again too fast.

Saturday looks like what a typical Christmas before kids did - 4 places to be on the one day! Looking forward to it. Great to have the rain we had yesterday and today.

Saturday Night

We did the 'little athletics' gig again today for the second time.
The boys loved it..........some of their friends are coming along too.
It's a very good set up and well organised. Not too competitive though, which means it's still in the fun category.
With Auskick, little aths, gymnastics, swimming, and our after school and holiday programs, plus a new local library, I'm amazed at the range and quality of activities there is around for primary school aged children.
Because it is local it is also a terrific opportunity to get to know other parents that live in the area. It's pretty much what all the "move to regional Victoria" ads are tyring to sell, but I'd be suprised if they can actually pull it off to the degree we have it up here.

Little Jesse is a bit off colour. Teething again we think. Happy one minute and grizzly the next. A bit of a temperature too.

It's going to be a busy week. A very busy week. But it's all over as soon as it starts and it's another week closer to holidays and Christmas and new years and birthdays and another mortgage payment made, blah, blah, blah......and that's the way we like it.....

Bushfire Season...again.

Typical full-on week!
Programs have all started. Teams all sorted. Started Little athletics.
Thomas the Tank engine Fun Run at Gembrook, plus all the regular meetings.
Now I know why grey hairs are beginning to show.
Jesse can walk all the way around the table...holding on of course.

t's getting hot here. Hot and windy.
A reminder of the prospect of bushfires this summer. It's very nice to have some warm weather though.

Tuesday, 3rd October

Can't believe how quick the days roll by. It's been jam packed since Sunday, but now that we're here at Tuesday, everything is up to date so I can relax and catch my breath. It's getting hotter each week. Supposed to be in the 30's tomorrow. Nowhere in particular I need to be, so it should be a good opportunity to do things I've been putting off (resist the temptation to do 'one more' work thing!)
Everything is beginning to point to the end of the year. Roll on Christmas.....
