Moving into March
We've been rather busy lately and have not dedicated any time to this. Getting up to date.....It's been very hot with scatterings of rain (decent rain) over the last month. I don't have to water our garden in anycase and it's all growing. The highlight of my gardening career was last Wednesday when I lashed out and hired a 'Duetscher.' If you don't know what a 'Deutscher' is, you are in good company. But if you live on anything over half an acre and are still doing your lawns and weeds yourself with a lawn mower, YOU need to know what a 'Deutscher' is! It's a HUGE lawn mower that propels itself alog (with you in semi control) and mows and mulches ALL the sticks and ferns and bushes that dare to be in the way. After approximately 2 hours my whole acre is complete mulch. I feel so ashamed after the last five years and three lawn mowers that I've never tried one of these before. There are probably so many things out there I haven't tried, like driving on the right hand side of the road, eating tofu, etc.
From now on it's 'Duetscher' hire twice a year and that's it.
Riveting stuff, eh?
The kids are growing fast. If you're lucky I will have a video inserted in this blog (I haven't made on yet).
Most of my footage lately is of beach stuff, and a recent blog already has a piece that covers that. We have been loving the beach. We do the tent thing now and it makes it much easier to stay on the beach for an extended period with all the kids. We now have most of our programs and regular things started up again so time is the issue. This year is already fidning us with a full sheet of things to do and be involved in. That's a far better option than having nothing to do. And we are well experienced enough to be able to drop things that are not necessary when we have to.
It's great to have the in-laws out for a short stay!
Looking forward to the beach tomorrow.......
